Short Information about DX Monitor Software

DX Monitor was designed as a standalone Windows 95 (and NT) program which monitors the DX announcements provided on the internet by OH2BUA. It will automatically retrieve DX spots, announcements, and WWV numbers when you are connected.

Buttons on the toolbar are used to retrieve 25, 250, or 1000 spots, announce a DX spot, retrieve announcements, or retrieve WWV information.

The display panel shows the WWV numbers and trends and the current UTC time. Recent spots may be sorted by time, DX call, frequency, or spotter. Red DX calls match DX watches set by the user. Blue DX calls are spots made by stations near the user. Red times are spots entered within the last 30 minutes.

Clicking on a DX call displays the country, short path beam heading, distance and sunrise/sunset times (UTC).

Alarms may be set to watch for needed prefixes and to announce skeds. Each alarm may be associated with a separate WAV file.

This is a beta test version. There will undoubtedly be bugs and rough edges. Please let me know if you come across any problems, or if you have ideas for enhancing the program.
